Business Development Managers

Our client, a leading company in the Australian tourism industry, is seeking experienced Business Development Managers for New South Wales and Victoria (Australia) to drive growth and expand market presence. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the company’s strategic expansion and build strong industry partnerships.

Key Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnership management, ideally within the ticketing, travel, retail, loyalty, or hospitality sectors;
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, tourism or business administration;
  • Established network of contacts within the Australian travel sector;
  • Self-starter and hardworking, with a track record of success and drive for achievement;
  • Strong understanding of the travel agent industry and distribution channels;
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities;
  • Strong project management and organisational abilities – must have experience in project managing B2B campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategise the handling of customer complaints and ensure prompt, effective resolutions that align with company policies and values;
  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to drive development and growth in the Australian market;
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and roadshows

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to adapt sales strategies accordingly;
  • Develop strategic plans and execute initiatives that consistently meet or exceed sales targets and company objectives;
  • Managing KPI’s, budgets and forecasts;
  • Develops, proposes, and implements account sales and marketing strategic sales plans to achieve brand and corporate goals;
  • Track all opportunities, pipeline, and bookings to provide forecasts and funnel management reports.
